Editorial design and illustration
about loneliness in our society
In German society, one topic is becoming increasingly important: the feeling of loneliness. But talking about it is often a taboo. Contrary to stereotypes, loneliness is as individual as the people who experience it. One of the consequences can be social withdrawal. This project with editorial design and illustration content aimed to focus on making this highly sensitive topic public, to inform people and to involve them emotionally.
Therefore we created a public installation, that was accompanied by these editorial design and illustrations. Passersby could take off the magazines from the installation wall and read into lots auf emotionally edited information and illustrations about loneliness in our society. The aim was to turn the attention on the issues, that long-term loneliness can cause and how a public dialogue can make change happen.
Solitude is fine but you need someone to tell that solitude is fine.
